Welcome to the Department of Tourism

With over 20 full-time professors, 50 lecturers, and over 1,200 students, we are the largest university department in the field of tourism in Germany and offer the broadest range of courses in the subject. We maintain diverse international relationships and actively contribute to applied research worldwide.

Tourism - a cross-disciplinary science
At our department, students learn about tourism as an important sector of the economy. We focus on business administration for the service industry, and this approach largely shapes the content of our courses. Tourism, however, is also a cross-disciplinary science that incorporates aspects from many other fields.
